Technical Issues and Tips

Q. I am not receiving the confirmation e-mails from my MCAP applications. Why?

A. First, verify your e-mail address is correct by logging in to MCAP at www.mcap.courts.michigan.gov/MCAP/. Under Utilities, choose Change Email. If the e-mail address displayed for you is not correct, type in the correct e-mail address and click the Change Email button. If the problem persists, contact your computer department to ensure that the e-mail messages are not being blocked by e-mail filtering software. You should allow e-mails from the domain @courts.mi.gov.

Q. Why can't I see the help screens or some other functionality in MCAP?

A. MCAP uses pop-up windows for help and some other functionality. Please disable your pop-up blocker application, or allow pop-ups for courts.mi.gov in your pop-up blocker. This will allow you to see all of the Portal windows.

Q. How do I allow pop-ups for MCAP?

A. The Google Toolbar is a popular pop-up blocker. To set the Google toolbar to allow pop-ups for MCAP, simply click the "# blocked" button on the toolbar. You should see the toolbar change the "# blocked" button to "Popups okay".
